He has been a staunch advocate for new anti-terrorism legislation and in ensuring the success of the Anti-Terrorism Task Force. He has also has fought and won battles with major tobacco companies, funneling millions of dollars into the state budget. Since taking office in 1999, Reilly has been a champion for a competitive marketplace and for strengthening the state's business environment. He fought to protect 3,000 Internet businesses and 180,000 high tech jobs in Massachusetts and established the state's High-Tech and Computer Crimes Division, which helps to protect businesses and consumers against fraudulent activities.
