Government Affairs Breakfast Forum Attorney General Thomas Reilly, Commonwealth of Massachusetts The Government Affairs Breakfast Forum is a monthly program where leaders from local, state, and federal government provide up-to-date insights and information on our latest legislative initiatives. As the 43rd attorney general of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Tom Reilly has established a record of effective leadership on key issues of importance to the business community, including health care, energy, public safety, education, and the economy. Since taking office in 1999, Reilly has been a strong advocate for health care reform across the Commonwealth and for new anti-terrorism legislation. He also fought and won battles with major tobacco companies, funneling millions of dollars into the state budget. During his tenure in office, Reilly has worked to foster a competitive business environment for Massachusetts' technology and innovation industries. He championed the protection of a competitive marketplace for the 3,000 Internet businesses and 180,000 high tech jobs statewide. He also established the state's High-Tech and Computer Crimes Division, which helps to protect the region's businesses and consumers against fraudulent activities.
