City Awake’s Our Convention for the Next Generation is the largest convening for millennials in Greater Boston. In the third year of Our Convention we will attract 500 emerging leaders to discuss the important issues focused on the region. With a mix of workshops, fireside chats, keynote speakers, a pitch fest and more, we hope to convene, inspire and mobilize the next generation of Greater Boston leaders. City Awake is a program of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce that works to retain and empower the next generation of Greater Boston leaders. Through City Awake we connect young professionals across sectors and industries, engage them in finding solutions to the most pressing issues facing our region, deepen their connections to the broader business and civic communities, and recognize their important contributions to our thriving economy. Last year, City Awake hosted 80+ events and released our first ever report, City of Millennials (in partnership with The Boston Foundation and the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce). It was a successful year; we learned a lot and we are excited about our fall lineup of programs. This year will officially kick off with our third annual Our Convention for the Next Generation on October 23 at the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the US Senate. All 21-39 year olds living and/or working in Greater Boston are invited to attend. With this, we aim to allow access to all those who want the personal and professional growth our programs provide -- always with the goal of giving the next generation of leaders seats at the table. We hope to see you in October at Our Convention!
