Lauren Baker currently serves as the First Lady of Massachusetts alongside her husband, Governor Charlie Baker. As First Lady, Lauren works to improve the lives of the children of Massachusetts, focusing in particular on the children served by our Department of Children and Families. She is a veteran of the advertising world in both New York and Boston where she led and managed the development of brand campaigns for consumer products, technology companies and non-profit organizations. Today Lauren works as a marketing communications consultant, building enrollment management practices for independent schools with The Baker Group and spends significant time working with the Wonderfund, a nonprofit serving the children of the Massachusetts Dept. of Children and Families. Lauren is passionate about service and social responsibility and likes to roll up her sleeves and work with nonprofits and service organizations to get the job done. She also serves on the boards of the American Red Cross New England Region, Phoenix Academy Charter School Foundation and the Wonderfund.
