The Fall Seminar for Women in the Workplace aims to provide badass career women with the foundational and social basis for excelling in their careers. This “abridged version” of the Chamber’s Women's Leadership Program focuses on the impact of narrative on business. We will consider how the words we choose and the stories we tell, about ourselves and each other, dramatically affect all aspects of our professional selves. Taken together, some of the biggest issues women face in the workplace – negotiation, advocacy, and leadership – require a nuanced command of language for incredibly specific purposes. How we share our own career tales, manage others, and negotiate deals depends heavily on compelling narrative creation. This seminar offers an exciting, experiential opportunity to gain practical and cerebral skills for women to slay at the office, making a more significant impact on their organizations, industries, and communities.
