Conflict is a natural and healthy part of any organization, and is even more prevalent in diverse organizations with multiple perspectives. When approached productively, conflict can lead to a greater understanding of problems, improved processes, and more innovative solutions. However, many managers approach professional conflict with trepidation. During this session, participants will gain an understanding of different conflict styles and learn which style they personally gravitate towards. The group will explore the different types of conflicts that arise in organizations and discuss the benefits and drawbacks of each conflict style, given the particular situation. At the end of the session, participants will learn to approach conflict scenarios with greater confidence, and have the awareness to select the conflict approach that will lead to effective and productive conflict resolution.
