Nearly a year has passed since the Department of Education issued its proposed amendments to the regulations implementing Title IX, leaving colleges and universities in a state of flux as they anticipate when the final rules will be published, and just how sweeping they will be. Being unable to anticipate the timing and breadth of the impending regulations, most schools have kept the status quo and continue to respond to reports of sexual assault in accordance with their existing procedures. Under the backdrop of the proposed regulations, recent cases, and personal experiences, this seminar will explore the current state of Title IX enforcement, discuss best practices for compliance, and provide guidance on how colleges and universities can prepare for the final regulations. ATTORNEYS SPEAKING Ariel Sullivan Amy Condon Breakfast will be served. There is no cost to attend. We look forward to seeing you!
