Julie KahnVice President & Market ManagerEntercom Communications Julie Kahn is vice president & market manager of Entercom New England, a media company made up of seven radio stations throughout the region – including WRKO, WEEI, and WAAF. She came to Boston in 2000 to oversee two of Entercom's FM stations. In 2004, she added Sports Radio WEEI-AM to her responsibilities – becoming one of the only female general managers in sports radio and helping the station reach unprecedented success. Since Kahn took the helm, WEEI has consistently led the Boston market in ratings and been recognized as one of the top sports stations in the country. In 2006, she was given responsibility for the entire New England region, and is now overseeing further expansion as WEEI is syndicated across 11 new stations in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Cape Cod. Kahn got her start in radio in 1981 selling the Chicago Cubs and Bears as an account executive at WGN. She later moved to San Francisco, where she sold the San Francisco 49ers and Oakland Raiders, and served as general manager for KNEW/KSAN – the number one biller in America for three years during her tenure. Khan's impressive resume has led to ample industry recognition. She has been named one of the ''Best Managers in Radio'' and ''50 Most Influential Women in Radio'' by industry publication Radio Ink Magazine, and in 2005 Boston Magazine ranked Khan 59th on its ''100 People Who Run This Town'' list. Kahn is a graduate of the University of Michigan, and received her MBA from the Kellog School of Management at Northwestern University.
