''Leading Your Organization through the Media Revolution'' Join us as Marita Rivero, vice president and general manager for radio and television at WGBH, reflects on the course of her career, and what it takes to lead an organization through today's rapidly changing media landscape. Rivero began her broadcast career at WGBH in 1970 as a producer of public affairs television. In 1976 she moved on to serve as a consultant for several organizations including PBS, and as general manager and vice president of WPFW-FM in Washington D.C. before returning to serve as manager of WGBH Radio for more than 15 years. Under her leadership, WGBH Radio emerged as one of the country's top ten public radio stations. Rivero assumed her current role in April of 2005 and is responsible for overseeing the programming and operations of the station's two radio services, two broadcast television channels, six new television services, and the website, as well as 100 employees. Rivero is a director of The Partnership and the Urban League of Eastern Massachusetts, and is a member of the National Advisory Board of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
