"Family Organization and Women in the Labor Market" Join us as Dr. Paul Harrington, a recognized expert in labor market studies, shares his insights on how women's educational attainment and role in the labor market are impacting family organization. Dr. Paul Harrington serves as the associate director of the Center for Labor Market Studies at Northeastern University. Harrington brings to his position more than 23 years of experience in the fields of labor market analysis, occupational information systems, and human resource policymaking, program planning, and evaluation. Harrington has served on numerous national, state, and local commissions on employment and training policy, including the Massachusetts Joint Commission on Workforce Training. He is the author of several publications including The Road Ahead: Emerging Threats to Workers, Families and the Massachusetts Economy and The State of the American Dream. An award-winning economist, Harrington is the1997 recipient of the ''Sar Levitan Award for Research in Employment and Training,'' jointly awarded by Johns Hopkins University and the National Association for Workforce Development Professionals.
