Location: Lynn, MA Job Schedule: Full Time The Assistant Project Manager will coordinate and support MAC and maintenance projects specific to the expansion, relocation, renovation and repair of Eastern Banks Operations Facility. Will assist the AVP Project Manager with projects for corporate and retail locations.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Management: Will plan projects, schedules, procedures, and vendor requirements. Maintain project reports including Microsoft Project Schedule, Excel budgets, CAFM database, issues logs, meeting minutes or other reports as required. Confer with project partners including: Technology, Security, Facilities, Business units, Architects, Engineers and Contractors to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities and project scope.
Will schedule move coordination meetings with internal customers and ensure client requirements are implemented as documented in the project plan. Will Assist the AVP Project Manager, as well as work independently, while performing in a professional manner appearance and attitude. Attend construction, move and progress meetings during regular business hours or as required.
Project Administration: Responsible to maintain and update project plans and records. They will administer work orders, purchase orders and service requests as required to complete projects. Will perform at post move occupancy inspections, develop punch lists, and monitor these lists through completion. Implements the project close out process and overall project performance review culminating in a final “lessons learned” document and close out meeting.
Corporate Responsibility: Maintain and report on Eastern Bank’s corporate responsibility programs. This includes: event coordination and metrics collection.
Supports internal communication to reinforce the company’s social responsibility policies and practices.
Provide administrative support to General Services/Purchasing as needed.
PROBLEM SOLVING & DECISION MAKING:
The Assistant Project Manager works at the direction of the AVP Project Manager (Facilities). Daily tasks and regular projects are executed with minimal supervision. The Assistant Project Manager will maintain responsibility for the maintenance of data accuracy related to Project budgets, communications, and schedule tracking. Poor decision making or organizational skills could result in poor project organization or financial loss to the company.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience Bachelors Degree preferred, High School Education combined with certifications from IFMA, and / or related work experience is acceptable.
Skills/Knowledge Skilled knowledge of the principles of Project Management and related technology and processes.
Working Conditions Must have and maintain a valid drivers license.
