Mayor Michelle Wu has been a fierce champion of accessibility, transparency, and community engagement in city leadership. First elected to City Council in 2013, and then unanimously elected to be President of the City Council in 2016, she became the first Asian-American to be elected city councilor and the first person of color to be the President of the City Council.
