The Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC) is seeking to hire an Attorney to work as Enforcement Counsel within the MGC’s Investigations & Enforcement Bureau (IEB). The IEB is the primary enforcement agent for regulatory matters under the Massachusetts gaming law (M.G.L. c. 23K) and sports wagering law (M.G.L. c. 23N). Under the direction of the Chief Enforcement Counsel, the Enforcement Counsel will work in conjunction with, and provide legal guidance, to members of the MGC’s civilian Gaming Agents Division (Gaming Agent’s Division), Sports Wagering Division, and the Massachusetts State Police Gaming Enforcement Unit (GEU) on regulatory matters. The Enforcement Counsel will also work collaboratively with the IEB's civilian Financial Investigations Division, the IEB's Paralegal(s), and the Commission's Licensing Division to reach well-reasoned determinations that comport with the legal and policy objectives of the gaming and sports wagering laws. Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
