The AVP Data Governance Analyst will work with stakeholders across the organization to ensure data is collected, stored, shared, and reported in a manner consistent with the Data Governance policy and the needs of the company. They will undertake the establishment and implementation of the enterprise-wide Data Governance program, including policies and processes covering data access and use, data security, metadata management, privacy, data quality, and more. They will also seek out program, process, and technological improvements that will foster improved data quality and appropriate use of data, eliminate redundancies, and reduce the data reporting burden using better data collection and data use processes and tools.
Problem Solving & Decision Making:
This position requires the ability to work independently and provide sound discretion and judgement. There will be a significant amount of collaboration with other areas which will require strong organizational skills. Also, a high level of accuracy and detail is needed as the major responsibilities are visible to senior management, the board of directors, and regulators.
Because Data Governance is a developing function at the bank, problems may arise that require the ability to quickly solve or adapt processes to an ever-changing structure. Problems could come from internal sources, external changes in regulation, or regulatory comments. Problems will be solved in both an independent and group atmosphere. Solutions will be discussed, and recommendations are expected to be presented
