We offer opportunities for career development, robust benefits, and a work-life balance. Internship Summary The intern will work within the Member Services department to support the MPF Program. This program allows our members to provide competitive mortgage products to their communities and sell those residential mortgage loans to the Bank (the investor) to generate liquidity. The intern will learn about the wholesale side of the mortgage market and will work closely with Bank colleagues and the member financial institution to ensure that the program requirements are met, including reconciling loan and payment data. . At the end of this internship, the Intern will have been exposed to various aspects of the mortgage product lifecycle from the perspective of both the primary and secondary markets, including origination, selling, and servicing mortgage loans. This paid internship will be part of our 2025 summer internship cohort, running from May to August. Specific Responsibilities · The following projects will include the application process for a member to become a PFI in the MPF Program, administrative duties such as review and submission of PFI documents to the MPF Provider and SharePoint filing of same, updating active PFIs to the most current Resolution so that a Security Administrator can be set up. · Performs other duties as assigned. Benefits for the Intern · Establish relationships with and receive hands-on guidance from the Member Services team, specifically MPF Program and Credit teams to ensure a successful internship experience. · Gain real world experience in a professional office setting. · Exposure to secondary mortgage market concepts and how they come to life within an organization. Qualifications Education · Progress towards a relevant business or finance degree is the minimum requirement. This internship is intended to enhance the educational experience or to support someone’s exploration of a career in mortgage lending/servicing, secondary mortgage market and Banking. Experience · Some prior work experience in an office setting is preferred. · Exposure to general finance topics such as banking and/or insurance. · Demonstrated interest in service to customers is a plus. Knowledge/Skills · Ability to maintain confidentiality. · Demonstrated strong attention to detail. · Data analysis using intermediate or advanced Excel functionality. · Demonstrated organizational and time management skills. · Excellent interpersonal skills.
